WHAT TO EXPECT

Two different methods are available depending on each individual's needs. A topical anesthetic may be used depending on the treatment plan. The goal of the procedure is to effectively heat the underlying collagen deposits, allowing it to "remodel", while avoiding patient discomfort. The 1064 wavelength is used to accomplish wrinkle reduction/ skin tightening in the fastest, safest, and most efficacious means possible. Treatments usually take 20-40 minutes and are spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Some people see results after only one treatment but 3-5 treatments on average are recommended for additive benefits.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

The skin tightening procedures can be performed on any areas of the body where skin is lax. Some people want the entire face treated, or only certain areas of the face, like around the mouth, or the neck. Other areas of the body have also been successfully treated such as the abdomen, upper arms, and breasts.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TREATMENT?

As with all skin tightening approaches, treatment results vary from person to person. Immediately after the treatment you will notice some redness and mild swelling. This should dissipate within a few hours. Most people describe the treatment as warm, spa-like, and relaxing. A sun-block is applied after the session and should be used between sessions.

WHEN WILL RESULTS BE SEEN?

Visible improvement of skin laxity is variable, depending on each persons degree of skin elasticity. Each additional session provides an additive response and overall improvement. The results are gradual as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens over a three to six month period.
